It is equipped with a calibrated reference monitor (typically a high-end OLED or LCD display calibrated to the relevant color standard), a color grading workstation (typically running DaVinci Resolve), a control surface (a dedicated hardware panel with trackballs, rings, and buttons for controlling the grading software), and a projection system for theatrical work.
The post-production supervisor books the grading suite: "I've booked the grading suite at the facility for three weeks, starting the Monday after picture lock.
