Agile Marketing

Definition

Agile Marketing is the application of Agile principles and practices — originally developed for software development — to marketing teams and processes. Agile Marketing emphasizes rapid iteration, data-driven decision making, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to quickly adapt to changing market conditions and customer needs. Agile Marketing teams typically work in short sprints, prioritize their work based on impact and effort, and continuously test and optimize their campaigns based on performance data.

Contextual Usage

The marketing director introduces Agile Marketing to the team: "We're going to stop doing big, quarterly campaign planning and start working in two-week sprints. At the start of each sprint, we'll prioritize the work that will have the biggest impact on our KPIs. At the end of each sprint, we'll review what worked and what didn't, and adjust our priorities for the next sprint. This will allow us to be much more responsive to what's happening in the market."
