A Low Angle Shot is a camera angle in which the camera is positioned below the subject and pointed upward. Low angle shots make the subject appear larger, more powerful, and more dominant. They are used to convey authority, strength, heroism, or menace. Low angle shots can also be used to create a sense of disorientation or to make an environment feel more imposing and threatening.
The director of photography explains the visual approach for the superhero's introduction: "The first time we see the hero in full costume, I want a very low angle — almost ground level, looking straight up. They should look like a god. The low angle combined with the wide lens will make them seem enormous and powerful."
