If you’re looking for the stability of a covered set, look no further than the Hawaii Film Studio. Located on a gated 7.5-acre lot at the foot of Diamond Head crater, the Studio offers a quiet, secure shooting environment conveniently located within 30 minutes of the Honolulu International Airport, 15 minutes from downtown Honolulu, and just a few minutes from the accommodations, restaurants, and nightlife of Waikiki. Managed by the State of Hawaii Film Office, the state-owned Studio complex consists of an air-conditioned, soundproof 16,500 s.f. soundstage with 29 ft. clear span interior height, a production office building, a construction mill, three production office bungalows, storage facilities, parking, restroom and shower facilities, space for caterers, and utility hookups for mobile dressing trailers. The Hawaii Film Studio is the only state owned and operated film studio in the country, the studio was home to two of television’s longest running hits, Hawaii Five-0 and Magnum, P.I.
