About Gurari Collections

Gurari Collections specializes in antiquarian and contemporary arts from the 17th century to the present. The gallery represents select museum quality and collected artists. The "inventive mind" would describe the gallery's overarching thematic intention. The gallery explores intersections of art, science and the allied arts - a kind of cabinet of curiosity. Areas of specialization are in architecture + design, urbanism, the human figure, fantasies and follies as well as objects of the unusual. This includes antique and vintage furnishings and artifacts representing the 19th and 20th centuries. The gallery's location is among numerous art galleries, artisans and design boutiques in what is known as the SOWA district in the South End of Boston. Gurari Collections is a modern and open space in a renovated mill building from 1880.
