"My quest for finding something to anchor down the 10x10 Yelp festival tent continues... with success! I had started looking for something last week (with no avail) at Lowe's and gave up in disgust for a few days. But with Earth Day right around the corner, it's get 'r done time. A friend of a friend referred me to Bad Dog Productions - and it's a good thing because I never would have found them on my own. Hidden in an industrial park in Kirkwood, this shop is run out of what looks like a giant garage. From what I could gather from the short time I was there, they sell production equipment for film makers... and I guess the stuff they carry also applies to festival tents, too :) I got some custom sand bags that have a strap on them so the average person can carry them around AND not have to worry about them busting open if they get dropped or thrown around. Yes! The only drawback is that these high-quality sand bags come with a hefty price tag of $37.50 each. Ouch! I only bought two for now, since that seemed expensive. But if I need more, I know where to go. And it's a small price to pay for knowing that my tent won't blow away at the slightest breeze :)"
